Why should I create a careerpassport profile?
Setting up a profile with careerpassport gives you a better and quicker chance to find the right employment.
You can register for daily or weekly job alerts according to your job preferences without receiving spam emails.
All the necessary data, qualifications, languages and preferences are neatly organised on the set format and CV, references, and certificates can be uploaded.
The same profile can be updated with new achievements at any time and as often as necessary, to use when seeking employment.
The careerpassport profile can be submitted with all applications for the various positions advertised online by any employer using careerpassport.
Careerpassport is not a recruitment agency. We offer a recruitment software for companies and thus do not deal with recruitment.
What does a Profile consists of?
Careerpassport consists of the following tabs:
Profile Dashboard - This is the main screen that will show you the latest actions on your profile and/or applications posted as well as a check-list which guides you on how to complete your profile.
Details - In this tab you have the option to edit/add your personal information as well as the option to deactivate your profile. Refer to Can I disable my profile?
Job Alerts - Set up your preferences and activate your alerts from this tab. View your current matches available on careerpassport powered sites you have connections with.
WorkExperience - This is a vital tab which needs to be kept updated according to skills and experiences gained during your current/past jobs.
Qualifications - As the tab indicates here you have the opportunity to list down all the qualifications you have achieved and update with any future qualifications.
Languages - This is an important tab to fill in if and gives you the opportunity to be selected in language related jobs.
Documents - This tab is used to upload your CV, References, Photo and all relevant Certificates.
My Applications - You can monitor the status and updates on all your applications when viewing this tab.
Email Settings - The final step of setting up your job alerts is by choosing how frequent you would like to receive emails from us. This tab also has the function of allowing you to change your email address.
Change Password - Use this tab to update and change your profile.
Account Settings - Once an application has been submitted to a Careerpassport client, your Profile would automatically remain active with the company for future reference unless you choose to remove the connection with that company. You can remove connections with clients from this tab. You can also change your language from this tab.
The tabs also give you the options to edit them any time you require.
How do I register?
You can register through the careerpassport website, jobigloo.com or any other employers’ site using the careerpassport system. To register you just need to :
Import details from Linkedin or Xing profile. (optional)
Accurately fill in the online form - (you may choose to fill in only the required fields).
Read the Terms and Conditions.
Accept the Terms and Conditions.
Click on the Create Profile Button.
Complete your profile
Please note that at this point the URL address, changed from HTTP to HTTPS whilst entering your details in the registration form showing you that your data will be encrypted and protected during transmission.
You now own a careerpassport profile and should also be able to verify your account from your Profile Dashboard. If you do not receive such email please contact us and a team member is sure to help you out.
Do I have to pay to create a careerpassport profile?
The careerpassport profile is completely FREE with no hidden charges or fees.
Where can I use my profile?
You can use your profile by logging in and applying for vacancies from the different careerpassport powered sites. Any update that you perform on any site will be saved in your profile. You can use the profile to apply for any position and to monitor the status of all your applications accordingly.
How do I update my CV?
You can update your CV in the following way:
Click on the ‘Documents’ Tab (where you had originally attached CV).
Select the document you would like to update;
Click “Edit” and choose a new file.
Attach your new CV; and
Click on the ‘Save’ button.
The old CV will be overwritten and substituted by your new one.
You cannot delete your CV, but you can replace it with an updated version.
Can I add reference letters and certificates?
You can add references and certificates by using the ‘Documents’ Tab and by clicking on the ‘Add Document’ button to add a new document type and proceed in the same manner as when uploading a CV.
How important is it that I fill in and update my profile?
It is highly recommended that you fill in ALL the details in the different tabs. This will help the employers to evaluate your application faster and better. Although the employers can search within your CV, updating all the profile tabs will further help the system’s search engine when the employer searches through the accessible profiles. This will increase your chances of being considered for employment and offered your dream position. You can add further records in any tab by clicking on the ‘Add’ button and updating with relevant information.
Who can see my profile and CV?
You have control over who sees your CV and Profile. You may choose who is allowed to view your details by:
By signing in to your Profile directly from the company’s website if the Careerpassport Login/Create Profile button on that particular website is available.
If you do not allow a connection with a company then they will not have access to your details.

Can I stop a company from viewing my CV?
You can stop all access to your CV by blocking the company from viewing your CV. You can do this by clicking Remove Connection for the particular company within your 'Account Settings' Tab.
How can I monitor the progress of my applications?
By using the ‘My Applications’ Tab, you will be able to monitor the status of all your applications through Careerpassport powered sites. You will also be able to view the history of all applications including the time and date when it was changed or updated. Furthermore, the system will automatically send you a daily update when your profile is updated or modified in any way.If you have any queries regarding particular jobs /applications on careerpassport powered site kindly contact the company advertising directly.
Can I disable my profile?
You can disable your profile any time through the ‘Details’ by clicking on ‘change’ you are given the option to choose to disable your account. When disabling your account you will be removing access to your CV and Profile for ALL the Employers.By disabling your profile, you will be deleting all your data permanently.
No data can be recovered and no employer will be able to see your profile. It is highly recommended that you simply close your connections with employers and block their access rather than disabling your profile. Refer to Can I stop a company from viewing my CV?
